Day 5 - The day before

One day

Hi Sweetearthlings (: !

Busying with homeworks, assignments and work etc?
Hoping that you have more time?
Whenever we are studying for exams/tests,
we always pray that the exam is not tomorrow but the day after tomorrow!
If only we have one more day.If only we can time travel back to the day before :P
If only we can change the history, if only...
But the crucial fact is, time can never go back and we don't know what will happen next.

Below is a advertisement done by South Africa's advertisement company.

"The day before"... how shocking it is, after things happened, we often say, "if I would have known...I would..." Don't regret. We only live once, so live life to the fullest. Life is full of transiency, cherish your love one, love more hate less(better to be no hate :P), do more grumble less, praise more criticize less, seize the day and never regret. For we don't know how long we can live and what is ahead of us.

Humans are all the same and everyone should be treated with equality so what if you are of a higher or lower education so what if you are in a higher or lower position so what if you have a higher or lower social stature? In the end we all die and return to heaven. What good does it do to put each other down? Yes some people require more help than others and if that's the case then help them(: because in the end we return to the same "Box". :D be nice to all as we are the same!!~ Cheers

Stories for the night!

#1 Rich or Poor?

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from the trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad”.

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yes”, said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered:
“I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
“We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden and they have a creek that has no end.
“We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

“Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

“We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added:
“Thanks, Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

It's not money that makes us rich; it's the things we have that cannot be bought that makes us rich.
They are: time, love, health, wisdom, family, friends, nature etc

#2 Bank Account

Imagine there is a bank, which credits your account each morning with Rs 86,400, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every pence, of course!
Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is Time.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow."
Therefore, there is never not enough time or too much time. Time management is decided by us alone and nobody else. It is never the case of us not having enough time to do things, but the case of whether we want to do it.
Time is money, use it wisely.

#3 Value

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, 
"Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the one dollar bill up.
He then asked, "Who still wants it?"Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. 

Many times, we are dropped, crumpled, and grounded into the dirt by the decisions
we made and the circumstances that came our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
 But no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
 You are special - Don't ever forget it!

Day 4 - 感恩

【故事一】小孩的心     

有一位单身女子刚搬了家，她发现隔壁住了一户穷人家， 一个寡妇与两个小孩子。

有天晚上，那一带忽然停了电，那位女子只好自己点起了蜡烛。

没一会儿，忽然听到有人敲门。      

原来是隔壁邻居的小孩子，只见他紧张地问：「阿姨，请问你家有蜡烛吗？」女子心想

「他们家竟穷到连蜡烛都没有吗？千万别借他们，免得被他们依赖了！ 」      

於是，对孩子吼了一声说：「没有！」正当她准备关上门时，那穷小孩展开关爱的笑容说：「我就知道你家一定没有！」 说完，竟从怀里拿出两根蜡烛，说：「妈妈和我怕你一个人住又没有蜡烛，所以我带两根来送你。」       

此刻女子自责、感动得热泪盈眶，将那小孩子紧紧地拥在怀里.

感恩的心看到的世界更美丽。

【故事二】  祈祷

法国一个偏僻的小镇，据传有一个特别灵验的水泉，常会出现神迹，可以医治各种疾病。

有一天，一个拄着拐杖，少了一条腿的退伍军人，一跛一跛的走过镇上的马路，旁边的镇民带着同情的口吻说：“可怜的家伙，难道他要向上帝祈求再有一条腿吗？”这一句话被退伍的军人听到了，他转过身对他们说：“我不是要向上帝祈求有一条新的腿，而是要祈求他帮助我，让我没有一条腿后，也知道如何过日子。”    

学习为所失去的感恩，也接纳失去的事实，不管人生的得与失，总是要让自已的生命充满了亮丽与光彩，不再为过去掉泪，努力的活出自己的生命。

【故事三】总统的心     

美国的罗斯福总统就常怀感恩之心。据说有一次家里失盗，被偷去了许多东西，一位朋友闻讯后，忙写信安慰他。罗斯福在回信中写道：“亲爱的朋友，谢谢你来信安慰我，我现在很好，感谢上帝：因为第一，贼偷去的是我的东西，而没有伤害我的生命；第二，贼只偷去我部分东西，而不是全部；第三，最值得庆幸的是，做贼的是他，而不是我。”对任何一个人来说，失盗绝对是不幸的事，而罗斯福却找出了感恩的三条理由。

境不转，心要转。换一个观点，转一个念头。用感恩面对世界，一切更美好。

这个`世界让人抱怨的事，太多太多。

可是那也证明，可以感恩的事很多。

笑也一天，哭也一天，何必为了小事闷闷不乐呢？

感恩我们还活着，笑笑没烦恼！生活无限好！

Day 3 -3 little stories to start your week

#1: Gold or Soil?

The master asked, "Do you want a chest of gold, or a bucket of soil?"

"Of course a chest of gold!" the disciple replied.

The master laughed, "What if you were a seed?"

-A change of state, a change of needs. Societal norms and needs might not be what you actually need. Don't bother admiring what your friends have, for what they have might not be what you need.

#2: Safe bet = No bet?

Someone asked the farmer, "Do you sow the seeds of maize?"

"No. I'm worried it'll rain" the farmer replied.

"What about cotton?

"Nah. I'm afraid of the pests"

"Then what's in your farm?"

"Nothing. That's the safest."

-A safe bet is a bet of nothing. aka no plans no actions. Nobody has a smooth journey en route success; pebbles and traps will hinder our footsteps. Only when we conquer them, we can call ourselves hero in our own right. Had a fall? Shake off the dirt and move on. Stronger.

#3 : When will our flaws become our weapons? Or vice versa?

A brought an umbrella out, B brought a walking stick and C went out empty handed.

Upon returning, A was drenched, B was injured after a fall and C was fine.

Why?

A braved the storm because he was confident he will remain dry under the shelter of an umbrella. No. The rain was too big.

B believed when equipped with a walking stick, he could walk the muddy terrain with ease . No. He was careless and fell.

C wasn't confident he could remain dry so he waited for the rain to end. He wasn't exactly sure he could walk the muddy terrain confidently so he walked with extreme care. He was fine.

-Most of the times, we fail not because of our disadvantages, but because of our advantages. That hurts :(

Day 2 - Change

Hi sweet earthlings out there!! (:
Lunar new year is near!!
We often ask ourselves, what is our new year resolution?
Despite making new year resolution, it seems no changes after one year later :P
why? because we are so used to our lifestyle, our habit, and everything around us that we are not much aware,
but it is already part of us.
Thus, change is needed, a better change, for a better year!
